Sherlock Holmes & Dexter Morgan

I saw Sherlock Holmes the other day, it was pretty sweet. Robert Downey Jr. is basically amazing. Though he reminded me a bit of Dr House..
I liked how Watson and Holmes seem almost of the same level, Holmes seems more dependant on Watson rather than the other way around, which is usually how Watson is portrayed.
It was well done, I’ll definitely see it again in theatres, then buy the dvd and watch it many times as I lie in wait for Iron Man 2 to arrive.

Next on the docket, the final episode of Dexter, season 4.

What in the world. That was pretty intense, it would have been better if someone hadn’t spoiled the ending prior to me watching it, but it was really good nonetheless.
Just as Dexter was finally realizing what direction he wanted his life to go and where his priorities are standing, a large piece gets taken away.
The next season is going to be fairly interesting to say the least. I’m wondering whether they’re going to cut out the Mitchell family or involve them with the plot, since they only know Dexter as Kyle Butler. It would get rather tangled if they left them in, but realistically, they should stay. Well find out when season five comes out in 2010 I suppose.

Michael Phelps

A note for anyone who is interested in becoming a world famous athlete showered with endorsements: Don’t do a Phelps.

Phelps made the dumb move of smoking pot from a bong at a party back in November. I mean, I don’t care what he does in his free time, but doing it at a frat party? All that water must have gone to his head, blocking his common sense from working. Honestly, he didn’t think that out of all the people at that party, no one would this new gadget called a cell phone? You know ,those new things called phones, yet these are special, they don’t have cords, you can take them out side, and guess what? A majority of them come with cameras! Woah!

Oh Michael Phelps…I’m sure you weren’t actually thinking that some kid with a photo of you smoking pot wasn’t going to sell it to the highest bidder? Because if you were, Surprise! You just got banned from US competitive swimming for 3 months! Oh, and also, Kellogg’s just said they aren’t going to renew your contact with them, oops!

Well, hopefully you’ve learned your lesson, Michael Phelps! Oh wait, I thought you already had as you already had a run in with the law, being arrested in 2004 for driving while under the influence of alcohol.  Kudos Phelps, you once again have disappointed fans around the globe. But it’s ok right? You apologized and it of course won’t happen again. Or will it? We’ll be watching.

First Annual Youtube Live Awards

I was in Portland, Oregon on the weekend, so I didn’t have the privilege of watching it Live it all its glory. I’ve been watching clips of it posted around from Youtube stars that attended, but about half an hour ago I stumbled upon the full version put up by the Live channel. I was the 8th person to comment (8th comment FTW OMGZZZ)
No. I didn’t do that, it happened in my head though. Jaun Mann`s story of how the Free Hugs video came about was really interesting, I had no idea how it had come about. Now I know.
Oh goodness, he jsut blended a broom. My youth group had a fear factor thing once, we blended happy meals and milkshakes…nastiest thing, but not as nasty (or lethal) as what he jsut made. Seriously…
I just decided  I don`t like that Sledd guy…but I`m excited for Charlie the Unicorn…Oh dear…Rick Astly…Raining Chocolate, very nice touch…
That was some crazy crazy guitar hero skills, wow.
Alright, anyone who hasn`t seen Youtube Live, go watch it, it`s a need, not a want. I NEED you to watch it.

Large Hadron Collider

I love two things about this project in Switzerland.

1. It’s taken them this many years and this much man power to creat something that supposedly became the universe. They are tryingto create what was going on a trillienth of a second before the big bang. Wait, wait, wait. Hold on a second. I went through however many years of elementary school and high school science class and was forced to listen to the crap of “The Big Bang created everything” on ly to now be toldthat, alas, there was soemthing there before that. I lovei t. It’s hilarious.

2. They are trying to creat a black hole. Only a tiny one though.

… Pardon? You’re trying to creat a small black hole. Black holes are those things that suck entire solar systems into the size of a dust particle right?

Yes, that’s right, And now they’re tryin to creat one on this tiny little planet. Apacolypse anyone?
